Micromax-Vodafone launched Bharat 2 Ultra 4G budget smartphone at an effective price of Rs 999.
Home grown phone manufacturer — Micromax joined hands with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to launch Bharat 1 earlier this month. The company is now preparing to bring the cheapest 4G smartphone in India.
Micromax has confirmed to launch a 4G smartphone called the Bharat2 Ultra at a price as low as Rs 999. The smartphone vendor will partner with Vodafone India to launch Bharat2 Ultra in November.The effective price of Rs 999 will be valid on purchasing this smartphone with a new or existing Vodafone connection. At first, you will have to pay Rs 2,899 for purchasing the Bharat 2 Ultra. After which, you need to recharge for at least Rs 150 every month for a duration of 36 months. The recharges can be done in parts but should amount to Rs 150 every month.
Khosla says, “We are delighted to partner with Micromax to democratize the 4G smart phones at a never before price of under Rs 999.” He believes that this will “help fulfill the aspirations of several million phone users across the country that desire a smart phone but couldn’t afford one. It will also encourage current non users of 4G to upgrade and enjoy a richer user experience with Vodafone SuperNet 4G.”
Micromax Bharat 2 is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Speadtrum SC9832 processor and it comes with 512MB of RAM. The phone comes with 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, Micromax Bharat 2 packs a 2-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 0.3-megapixel front shooter for selfies.The Micromax Bharat 2 runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 1300mAh non removable battery.
And Micromax Bharat 2 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Micro-SIM and Regular. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Headphones, FM and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Accelerometer.
