Here’s all things you should now about Reliance Jio Prime membership plans.
Reliance Jio has unveiled prepaid and postpaid data plans for its Prime as well as non-Prime members. Enrollment for the Jio Prime membership has already started, and Reliance Jio’s Happy New Year offer will end on March 31, and along with it, the freebies will end too. Users will need to pay Rs 99 as subscription fees and recharge with one of the Jio Prime packs for getting Jio Prime membership. For prepaid users, the minimum recharge amount is Rs 149.
To soften the blow, Reliance Jio had rolled out its Jio Prime membership plan from March 1. Notably, the Prime membership plan is an extension of the ‘Happy New Year’ plan itself. Reliance had introduced the Jio network last year and had been very aggressive with its tariff plans, in order to enter the market. Jio was able to garner 100 million users in a small span of 170 days. Meanwhile, after March 31, users will not get everything for free. In order to continue using the previous ‘Happy New Year’ offer, Jio users will have to pay a subscription fee of Rs 99. Additionally, they will have to shell out Rs 303 every month to continue accessing Jio’s 4G services and also the full bouquet of Jio’s media services for one year.
Similar to the previous ‘Happy New Year’ offer, the Prime membership too will provide users with a FUP limit of 1GB data for each day. Effectively it translates to 30GB data for a month, meaning Rs 10 per day. The last date for enrolling into the Jio Prime membership programme is March 31. A consumer who still does not have a Jio connection can get on the network on or before March 31 in order to avail the Prime membership offer. Standing true to its promise, Jio has said that the voice calling feature will always be free on Jio. Here’s a look at the new postpaid and prepaid tariffs for Jio Prime members:
Never before there has been a mobile data plan so good. From any company. A few days ago when Jio announced its Prime Membership offer and said that all those who subscribe to it will be able to get a monthly recharge done for Rs 303 to enjoy unlimited data (4G speed limited to 1GB data per day), messages and voice, that seemed like one hell of a plan. But yesterday when Jio revealed it other plans, it seemed that the Rs 303 was just one of several such plans that the company has cooked up for its users. Almost all the plans that are available to Jio Prime members seem like great value for money. But the one that totally hits it out of the park is the Rs 499 plan. This is possibly the best wireless data plan available anywhere in the world right now.
For users, who decide to come onto the Jio network on or after March 31 will have to pay the subscription charge upfront while taking Jio connection. Jio customers can register for Prime membership via MyJio app or Jio.com or walk in to an offline Jio store. Jio will become a paid service starting April 1.
RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani has already said the company will keep optimising its data tariffs to offer 20 per cent more value to its customers compared to rivals. The move will is aimed at attracting more users on the Reliance Jio network, which has 100 million customers.
